Submitting a GC as a Partial
The procedure for submitting a GC as a partial is essentially the same as a regular job (see How and When to Submit a Partial), but you must ensure the GC box is checked before you submit in order to appropriately flag the job so it goes to another Group Conversation typist.
If you are using a client template for the job, remove any part of the template past the point at which you stop typing. This is necessary for pay to be allocated between ICs properly. When you do this, be sure to note it in your partial comments/comments to proof so that the remaining ICs on the job know what part of the template to paste back in.
GCs do not need to meet the 10% rule to submit as partial at the end of your shift, since they are often much longer audios and take longer to type.
Do not forget to leave appropriate comments to proof when submitting a GC as a partial for the next typist.
Submission Requirement
Remember: Never submit a partial mid-sentence. Wait until the end of one speaker so the next typist does not have to spend time determining where to start.
