CCleaner

If instructed by SpeakWrite Help Desk to install and run CCleaner, follow the steps below:

  1. Please download CCleaner from https://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download.


  2. Once installed, open CCleaner.


  3. In the "Cleaner" section, under the Windows tab, we suggest checking the following selections to clean. NOTE: Your selections will vary slightly, depending on what programs you have installed, but keep an eye out for Antivirus applications, File Compression programs such as WinZip and WinRar, Firewalls, and Internet Cache files, Temporary files, and Cookies.



  4. While under the Applications tab, check the following:

After checking these sections, click Run Cleaner, and let CCleaner run its course.

Next, clean your Registry.

  1. Select the Registry tab and check the following:


  2. Select Scan for Issue and allow CCleaner to scan, then click Fix Selected Issues.


  3. When CCleaner asks "Do you want backup changes to the registry?" select Yes.


  4. Once your backup has completed, select Fix All Selected Issues.


  5. After you have run the program please reboot your computer and attempt to log in into TypeEasy again.

If the issue is still occurring after going through these steps:

  • Send your TypeEasy Logfiles (see Typist OLH).
  • Open a help ticket and we will look into your issue further.
    • In the help ticket please provide any steps you have taken to resolve the issue.
