How to Retrieve PDF/Fax Jobs

When you accept a job, if there is a PDF (instead of audio) to be transcribed, you will see a pop-up like this:

After you have reviewed the job information and instructions (if any), click on the PDF tab.  This will automatically split the screen with the PDF on the left and the Word document on the right.  The menus and scroll bars work independently in each window.  You can also drag the line between the PDF and the document to adjust the sizing of each.  (Note:  If you prefer to have the PDF above the document rather than side-by-side, see instructions below.)

Zoom In or Zoom Out on the PDF by right-clicking on it and selecting Zoom In or Zoom Out.  You can also use Ctrl with the +/- keys to zoom in and out.

Use the checkmarks at the top to show or hide the client word list and instructions, depending on your preference.  You can also choose to hide the PDF, if you want your Word document in full screen for proofreading.

How to Change PDF View Settings

PDFs open by default side-by-side with the Word document.  However, some people prefer to have them display with the PDF above the document, like this:

To view PDFs above the document, go to Settings > Preferences > Select Documents Container Orientation and change it to Horizontal.

Don't forget to scroll!

When you receive a PDF job to transcribe, don't forget to scroll to the end of the PDF to ensure you transcribe the entire PDF, not just the first page.
