After Hours Partials
Any partial which is received after the Help Desk is closed should not be rejected back to typing. Once the Help Desk is closed, there is no one available to approve a typist's request to requeue. Typists are instructed to submit as a partial with the comment "Help Desk unavailable to requeue". If you receive a partial with less than 10% completed during hours when the Help Desk is closed (see Getting Help for HD hours), you should complete the job as usual.
If you suspect that the job was dumped due to poor audio or a difficult PDF, please forward the job number to proofreader.support@speakwrite.com so we can address the issue.
Because there are many situations where typists are required to get Help Desk input, these jobs will also be submitted as partials so PRs can address them. PRs are given the responsibility to evaluate the typist's comments to proof and any prior Help Tickets on the job to make the decision they feel is most appropriate. These situations may include:
- Requests to reject jobs back to the client
- Client does not clearly state which template to use
- The audio ends before dictation gets started (In general, these jobs should be submitted as no fax/no audio.)
- No fax/no audio
- GC or not a GC?
- Legal document submitted on a general account
- Emergencies
- Technical difficulties
Typists are asked to leave comments to proof if they must submit a partial as an emergency or due to technical difficulties. Always complete these jobs, rather than reject them. Keep in mind, in a true emergency, the typist may not have been able to proof the job him/herself before submitting as would ordinarily be required.
