How to Insert Images

When images are to be inserted into a job, the document screen will look a little different.  As the job loads, you will see a dropdown to the right of the audio controls for inserting the images. This dropdown shows the time stamp at which each picture should be inserted.  While listening to the audio on a job with pictures, you will hear an audible beep each time you reach a spot where a photo should be inserted.  The audio will also pause automatically.

Procedure:

  1. Transcribe the document as usual.

  2. When you reach the timestamp where the first image will be inserted, you will hear a beep and the audio will automatically pause.

  3. To insert an image, select the image that matches the timestamp of the beep.  (Images are displayed in order.  Be sure you only insert each image once, and insert them at the appropriate timestamp.)

  4. Click Insert Image once you have selected the right one.  You do not need to add any hard returns.  TypeEasy will automatically insert the photo into the document.

  5. You may have jobs with multiple images for the same timestamp.  In this case, they will all display with the same timestamp and have the same image number, with a second number after a decimal.  Insert each image in order (e.g. Image 1.1, Image 1.2, Image 1.3) before continuing to type.

  6. You will never actually see the pictures.  When inserted into the document, pictures will appear as seen on the right.

  7. If you accidentally insert an image, you can use the backspace key to delete it.

  8. Be sure you've inserted all pictures by the end of the dictation.  Then submit the job as usual.

Help Ticket

If the images are not working properly or the client states to insert images and none appear in TypeEasy, open a Help Ticket for clarification of next steps.
