We are excited to announce the release of a brand-new version of TypeEasy. This version is entirely self-contained, meaning you do NOT need to own a copy of Word. It also rectifies some of the clunkier aspects of the old program and more seamlessly integrates with the updated Typist Dashboard.
We are thrilled to be able to share this version of the program with our typists. In the coming weeks, all typists will need to start transitioning to the new platform. The older version of TypeEasy will be decommissioned on September 1, 2023.

If you have suggestions for improvement or encounter technical errors in the program, please let us know. TypeEasy V2 eliminates a lot of the requirements the older version had. It can run on any Windows 7 10 or newer computer. You will no longer need to maintain Internet Explorer or a copy of Word. Instead, the program will run independently and contain everything you need. You will still be able to use your foot pedal and headphones as usual. (Note: Some foot pedals may no longer be compatible. Check out a full list of compatible foot pedals here.) Please note, TypeEasy V2 is not compatible with 32-bit computers or operating systems. If you experience problems with opening and running TypeEasy V2, first check to be sure you are using a 64-bit machine. |
