SpeakWrite contracts with typists all over the United States and Canada to perform transcription services for a wide variety of clients.
As an important part of our service, we guarantee those clients the highest level of confidentiality in performing and submitting their work.
While each and every typist performing work for SpeakWrite is required to sign and commit to a Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreement, the information contained in that Agreement is of the utmost importance and should be reviewed on a regular basis to ensure compliance.
PLEASE BE SURE TO REVIEW THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION ON A REGULAR BASIS:
As a typist for SpeakWrite, you acknowledge that the operation of SpeakWrite is proprietary and confidential. You should not disclose any confidential information without prior written consent from SpeakWrite.
Examples of confidential information include:
- Operating procedures
- Customer lists
- Business and marketing plans
- Procedure manuals
- Financial information
- Software
- System access and passwords
SpeakWrite may choose to share information regarding new business opportunities and clients with you. That information should be held confidential and not be disclosed to anyone else, directly or indirectly.
As a part of the work and duties that you perform for SpeakWrite, you will be given access to various information from clients which is confidential, privileged, personal, or otherwise sensitive. Any disclosure of this information to anyone, for any purpose, other than in accordance with SpeakWrite policies and procedures, is improper and in some cases, illegal.
IT IS IMPERATIVE that you never discuss any matters or information contained in any of the work supplied to you with anyone for any purpose, in public or in private, including friends or relatives. You should never make, or attempt to make, any contact with any of the clients, or with anyone connected to them, or related to any of the material disclosed as a part of the work you complete.
It is critical that you never generate any written or printed copies of any of the work done by you, and that you not maintain any computer file or other record of material supplied to you for any reason.
You must take all necessary precautions to ensure that while work for our clients is being performed, any work on your desk or computer monitor will not be left open to the view of unauthorized persons. Never allow another person to access your account.
Social Media
As a part of the SpeakWrite confidentiality arrangement with its clients, it is essential that its contractors maintain a level of removal and non-contact with one another to create as thorough a barrier and separation as is possible under the circumstances under which you are all working. One security feature of the SpeakWrite system of handling clients’ work is that the transcriptionists on that work are forbidden by contract and are not able to interact and communicate with one another regarding any client’s work at any time.
Obviously, this is also part of the company’s contractual relationship with you. That being so, contractors may not make any references to SpeakWrite, its operations or any work done for SpeakWrite in any type of social media.
Should you be responsible for any communication or disclosure of information, a legal cause of action for money damages could be the result.
Reminder:
SpeakWrite’s processes and software are considered a valuable trade secret of the company. Information related to both our processes and our software are covered by your signed confidentiality agreements requiring all information to be maintained in confidence and should not be shared while you’re an active contractor or after you have left the company.
We appreciate you doing everything you can to keep our trade secrets intact and confidentiality in place.
