There are two occasions when you may need to request to have a job requeued.

  • End of Shift:  When you are assigned a new job at/near the end of your scheduled shift and can't stay on to complete it.  If you are able to start it and complete at least 10%, you may do so and then submit a partial.  Otherwise, requesting a requeue is the best option.

  • Emergency/Can't access TypeEasy:  If a situation comes up where you do not have the ability to submit your job, such as a power outage, internet outage, etc. or if you need to leave when a job has just been assigned.  (Note that if something comes up while working on a job but you still have access to TypeEasy, you can request to submit a partial instead of requesting requeue.  Requeuing a job loses any work that has already been done, so it should only be done in limited circumstances.)

Follow the steps below when you need a job requeued:

  • Open a Job-Related Help Ticket from your Typist Dashboard. (If needed, this can be done from a mobile device.)
  • In the Subject line, type a brief subject for the ticket, such as "Requeue Request".
  • In the body of the ticket, explain why you are requesting to have the job requeued.
  • Submit the ticket, and wait until the HD has approved the request.
  • If the Help Desk approved your request, you will receive a pop-up stating your job was requeued, usually within a few minutes.
  • NEVER log out before confirming you no longer have the job in your possession.  Abandoned jobs can lead to penalties. (Exceptions to this can be made during true emergencies.)

If you request to have a job requeued due to an emergency and will miss more than 30 minutes of a scheduled shift, please submit a schedule change ticket to remove yourself from the schedule.
