Follow the steps below when you receive a job at

Requeuing a job is when the Help Desk takes a job from you and puts it back into typing for someone else to complete it.  This basically starts the job over, losing any work you may have done on it, so it's important to understand the right time to request to have a job requeued.  Generally, it's only done if there is some reason you cannot begin the job or complete at least 10% of it.

There are two typical occasions when you may need to request to have a job requeued.

  • End of Shift:  When you are assigned a new job at/near the end of your scheduled shift and
know that you will not be able to
  • can't stay on to complete it.  If you are able to start it and complete at least 10%
of the job.
  • Click the TypeEasy logo in the top lefthand corner of the screen.
  • Select 'Job Related Help Ticket'.
  • Type a short summary explaining why you are requesting that the job be requeued into the 'Summary' box.
  • Click the 'Access Ticket' button.
  • Type the explanation of why you are requesting that the job be requeued in the 'Enter Additional Information' box.
  • Click the 'Submit Additional Information' button.Wait
    • , you may do so and then submit a partial.  Otherwise, requesting a requeue is the best option.

    • Emergency/Can't access TypeEasy:  If a situation comes up where you do not have the ability to submit your job, such as a power outage, internet outage, etc. or if you need to leave when a job has just been assigned.  (Note that if something comes up while working on a job but you still have access to TypeEasy, you can request to submit a partial instead of requesting requeue.  Requeuing a job loses any work that has already been done, so it should only be done in limited circumstances.)

Follow the steps below when you need a job requeued:

    • Open a Job-Related Help Ticket from your Typist Dashboard. (If needed, this can be done from a mobile device.)  You can do this in TypeEasy from the Help Ticket tab, or navigate to your Typist Dashboard in a browser.
    • In the Subject line, type a brief subject for the ticket, such as "Requeue Request".
    • In the body of the ticket, explain why you are requesting to have the job requeued.
    • Submit the ticket, and wait until the HD has approved the request. After a couple of minutes
    • If the Help Desk approved your request, you will see a message on the left side of the screen verifying that the job has been requeued and that TypeEasy has set your status to 'Not at Work.'Log out of TypeEasy and shut it down. receive a pop-up stating your job was requeued, usually within a few minutes.
    • NEVER log out before confirming you no longer have the job in your possession.  Abandoned jobs can lead to penalties. (Exceptions to this can be made during true emergencies.)
