If you need to create a New User Account with Administrator privileges per Help Desk instructions, reference the links and steps below:
Click the link for the appropriate Windows version instructions
Windows 10: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4026923/windows-create-a-local-user-or-administrator-account-in-windows-10 (see bottom of article for more detail on Win 10)
Windows 8 and 8.1: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/create-user-account#create-user-account=windows-8
Windows 7: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-IN/windows7/Create-a-user-account
Windows Vista: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Create-a-user-account
Windows XP: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/279783
Log into this new user account (make sure to create it with Admin privileges) and install TypeEasy. You'll need to go through the Installation Checklist as well, making sure that you add TypeEasy.exe to your firewall. Check the ports and firewall settings as well. Please provide feedback once you have finished these steps. Thanks.
If you do not know how to setup with Admin privileges, see below.
Windows 7 or Vista:
To create an administrator account for a Windows 7 or Vista computer that is not a member of a domain:
From the Start menu, select Control Panel.
Double-click User Accounts, and then click Manage User Accounts.
Click Create new account. Enter a name for the account, and then click Next.
Click Computer administrator, and then click Create Account.
Windows 8:
- Navigate to PC Settings under the Charms -> Settings menu. You must be logged in as an administrator before doing this. If you are the first user to have activated Windows 8 on this PC, you are an administrator.
Click Add User under the Users tab.
Enter the new user's email address and click Next.
Click Finish.
Launch the desktop control panel and select small or large icon view. If you don't have a shortcut to it handy, you can find the Control Panel by searching for it. A window with a list of settings appears.
Click User Accounts.
Click Manage another account.
Select the Account you want to modify.
Click Change the account type.
Select Administrator then click Change Account Type.
New users who want their accounts to sync to a device need to designate the device as a "Trusted Computer" on the Users tab in the PC Settings menu and then enter the confirmation code that it sends by email.
